So here is my first post, post LA trip. I can honestly say I have never been to another country and thought that I could live there. I’ve got so much to share with you about why, but you’ll have to wait until next week for that post!
Day 1 in LA was one of my favourites. We headed out to Venice, and by ‘we’ I mean Katherine Ormerod and Lizzy Hadfield. We met up with a super talented photographer to capture out first day outfits in the most ‘LA’ setting. Dressing in LA couldn’t have been any easier. Temperatures near 30 degrees every day with a little breeze made it easy for me to stretch my 501 shorts that got with everything combination.
I teamed up with Jigsaw to create the perfect LA look whilst I was away, and I’ve found a new love for longer linen pieces. Last week I talked about falling for linen shirts, and well, this linen trench has just solidified that love! Jigsaw are such a stand out brand for incredible quality and interesting basics. I always find I have to try on in Jigsaw because on a hanger, the piece may look too basic, whereas once you’ve put it on, you’ll discover that the cuts, length and fabrics are all really well done.
I opened up this Louisiana Linen trench dress and pulled it in at the waist to make it feel lighter, and then I was able to add some denim to the look too. Even in the heat, this trench/dress was still really cool because of the linen. It also comes in light grey. The Jigsaw Holiday Shop is a great place to look for a little Summer packing inspiration.
I’ve been home for 12 hours, and the trench has already been washed and ready to wear into this Bank Holiday weekend!
